MedMapGuy, you're not a bad fellow, but seriously, (I know I've said this at least five times to you in the past) grow the hell up and stop responding to people's counterarguements as if they matter. Realise, if even for one second, that you're fully capable of controlling your own destiny once you stop using people's approval as a gauge of your own success and ability. You complain, then basically say that McHenry is a jerk, and yet you still come-back and dignify him with a response.--That's not the behaviour of someone who genuinely wants to do something; it's the behaviour of someone who exists ONLY in the eyes of the Robotech fandom and fears leaving it because it might mean that no one will give you attention anymore.

We all know you're both talented and dedicated; these two things don't appear in the same place as often as you might think, which means (believe it or not) that you're special. However, as I noted, you don't seem to realise what you can do with this, and instead keep coming-back to the same level as the rest of us who can't draw, write, or do anything beyond analyse what already exists. You, as an artist, are capable of making things exist and it's about damned time you learn that it's true. I've tried to convey this to you numerous times and what do you do?--Come to your "forum of the week where people will listen to my complaining" (which would be, alternatively, Robotech.com or the RDF-HQ) and quickly wear-out your welcome because you're boring.

Got that?--B-O-R-I-N-G. It has nothing to do with your skillfulness or dedication, it has to do with the fact that all you do is complain, concede, leave, and repeat. Ad nauseum, man. We all love your stuff, but do you have any self-confidence at all?--For all we know, you're completely fueled by the support of others and not by a passion for your own work. If enough people started saying that they wanted you to draw Supreme Commander Leonard's Officer Version Hovertank, you'd draw it not because you wanted-to or had any previous desire-to, but so that you could get some emotional support.

I'm all for fan-works, but they only go so far. Once you realise that, with a bit of tweaking and alteration, your creations can be 100% yours and, given the proper drive, you can forge a future out of your own will-to-create, you'll be on the right track. But right now...well, here you are again, looking for a quick-fix like a freakin' drug addict. I'm the one whose writing this whole damned essay-thing like a support programme to help you get off of the bad drug that is the Robotech fandom, but like all recovering fanboys, you're gonna have to take the first step to change your life.
