And that's been how I've seen it every time he makes a personal attack on me or someone else. His attacks are rebuttals to something that you've said which in his mind is seriously offensive, when in fact it's more or less meaningless. Someone could call me the devil and call my mother a whore, but if I saw that person coming from a place which caused them to have a distorted view of reality, and actually have to try and manage in that world, then I'd feel pity for that person over taking offense any day. It's actually pretty common to have people ignore the "what we disagree on" and focus on the "why we disagree on". Some take that to a whole new level and assign "intentions" to people who disagree with them, most often bing malicious ones. I can't claim to have listened to all his episodes, but I have heard quite a few, and nearly all spend little time explaining why his view is right or wrong (other than a courtesy "trust me on this" aside) but copious amounts of time telling you about the supposed villainy of those that disagree with him. I mean, why would a Robotech discussion ever come down to one's manhood or who the "real" man was? I have come to realize that you live in a world where every least thing is a major earth stopping conspiracy. Where you are lord and master, where everything is filtered through some twisted fanboy lens of reality. Robotech is not the most important thing in the world, its a cartoon (granted a good cartoon that I'm still a fan of). The Robotech franchise was revived in 2001 when Tom Bateman showed HG that it still had fans and they could make alot more money from it. Some elite little fandom isn't going to make it great nor is it going to kill it. Negative comments directed toward Robotech, HG, or even Tommy mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. None of us, INCLUDING YOU DOUG (shock!), really mean anything to Robotech. This is probably the most attention you've had in years if not your entire lifetime, enjoy it while it last. Eventually everyone will get tired of your crap and file you away under forgotten fanboys (where you have us filed). Ironic that forgotten old timers on a dead board bring you so much excitement. You don't offend or provoke me, as much as you may try or like to think that you do. I've tried to bridge the gap between us and distill a little bit of reality into your life but obviously its a futile effort. I've tried to take the high ground but obviously have failed. Maybe you can get your friend Ryan to explain this post to you, if he's not imaginary. As I'm confident you don't have the mental capacity to comprehend its meaning on your own.
