Scored #2 and #3 from a used book store for 7.50 a pop yesterday. Too bad they didn't have #1.

It was a pleasant surprise and confirmation in my belief that one should take time to stop in used book stores.

There's really two categories of used book stores:
Ones that sell used books based on normal ebb & flow of the local market Ones that sell used books based on the national market You'll tend to get better deals at the first type, but are much more likely to find rare stuff at the latter (Mackay's in Knoxville, FPilot?) Then there's junk stores, which might have books. In the 90s, I got many early issues of The Warlord from a junk store at a quarter each, and while just killing time the next county over, waiting for my brother at a doctor's appointment, I found a mint condition 1st edition AD&D Dungeon Masters Guide for 50 cents.
