Well I got the book. And it looks great! I would say it is an improvement on the first one.

So has anyone else gotten it? If you have, what do you think of it? |

*Sigh* I guess no one here cares about the new RPG books. That is a shame. Oh well.

I haven't gotten it yet, so I don't know how it is other than what other folks of said. That's not a good way of commenting though.

This is my "mod-voice". If I post in red, it usually means knock whatever it is off! |

Well, I recomend it. It, IMO, is better then the first one that they did.

It's a decent book, but the internal inconsistencies have begun to grate on me.

Like how I'd rather equip a battloid with an infantry sidearm than their issue mecha gunpods.

Well the standard Battloid Gunpod does 1D6 on a single shot and 6D6 for a burst of 5 (I know, 5x1D6 should be 5D6).
One of the infantry sidearms has a heavy duty configuration that does 1D6x10 damage. |

That don't make sense.

Alpha 11 wrote: Yeah, that's what I thought. I have a habit of making "adjustments" for most Palladium books, Master's Saga has one of my longest lists of "adjustments" relative to pages in the book. That being said, I'd still rate it light years beyond the original ASC RPG and even that had infantry rifles that could out damage mecha gunpods. |

I like the angle they took on the Southern Cross by making the Robotech Masters more "Roman-esque". They give you a little more in this book then they did in the original to work with role playing wise. Yeah, I can see what you mean by "inconsistancies" that's one reason I would rather use the background information and just port the game over to another system. |
