You know a movie has hit rock bottom when it's available at a local 7-11 for $9.99. I don't own a copy myself right now and I'm debating on
whether I should bother. I have seen it though.

I got my copy at a Big Lots back in January or February for $3. Well, it's an episode of Robotech. The dialogue is on roughly the same level as
the old TV series and Sentinels. *shrug*

Anime DVDs don't drop like that.
Typically, the only time anime DVDs go down in price, is when they are a 3-5 episode DVD from a TV series or OAV series, that gets released as a "Value" set in a single, multi-DVD, case later. For example, prior to the re-release of the first Rayearth series as a single-case set, the 5 DVDs doubled in price, and the original 5 single-DVD-per case boxed set went up to $250. The Aura Battler Dunbine DVD #12 still sells for almost that much, when it can be found. The only reason why DVDs #1-11 went down was because you couldn't get #12 to complete the set, except through E-Bay (it was only released in a sealed boxed set with DVDs #7-12 in their individual cases in it). The original Megazone 23 Part 1 Streamline/Orion DVD still sells for considerably more than the ADV redo, because the dub sounds better, and the sub reads better, than the ADV version. As a result, while most anime series end up with "value collections" with less packaging for about twice the original 1-DVD price (and the leftover individual DVDs getting seconded to places like Big Lots, Dollar General, and the yearly 10/$50 or 25/$100 blowouts from Right Stuf), instead it typically takes about 8-10 years for most anime movie DVDs to start dropping in price, typically from the license running out and the company having to liquidate the remaining stock. Of course, back about 5-6 years ago, I saw where Walgreens had apparently broken up a bunch of Robotech boxed sets, and had the DVDs mixed together with others in a $10 bin (of course, that was actually maintaining the Boxed set price, since the Bonus DVDs were in there and ALSO $10) Stan Bundy sbundy@kih.net ICQ: Basara (2878324) Xfire: basara549
