But, I can't find a track listing for Miss DJ. Anyone got an idea where to look? I don't want to dig out 15 year old anime fan club flyers where over 7

Has anyone heard anything about there being potential domestic release of the Macross Frontier OSTs?

Way back in the mid-to-late '90s, we saw Victor release the Macross II soundtracks in the states, as well as most of the Macross Plus discs. Is there any
chance of the same thing happening with Frontier? Or am I left with paying the $50+ for the import discs?

I'm getting tired of youtubing whenever I want to hear the vocal tracks.

Wouldn't this be something HGUSA would be interested in? I mean, there's already a built-in Macross Fanbase and they've shown willingness to
market "Macross-only" merchandise before.

EDIT: So, if one was going to import the discs... any suggestions as to where? I see play-asia.com has them, but I've never ordered from them before.
Ideas? Suggestions?

I'm finally getting around to watching SDF: Macross (sad, no?). I have some... musings / wonderings concerning
the status of the human population, post orbital bombardment.

From the narration in the animation, we know that: Macross City, the UN / Military aboard the SDF-01, and a "handful" of people survived the assault.
The Macross compendium gives an estimate of 700,000 to a million people (but doesn't provide sources, as far as I can tell).

Has this ever been clarified? As in, there were X number of people who definitely and canonically survived the bombardment?

If the animation is correct, then how did the Earth come up with the numbers to populate the colonization missions starting in 2012? Especially considering
they launched missions roughly once a year following the Megaroad-01's departure. Heck, even with the Compendium's numbers, it doesn't seem like
the human race...

I've been thinking a lot about SC and why it's so unpopular. A lot of negative comments pertain to the opinion that the Hover Tank was not a very cool
looking mecha.

Alternately, many people remember the AJACS and I've heard countless fans say they thought it was a very cool mecha. No one ever puts it down like the HT.

I personally like the HT, but I do think the AJACS is way cooler. The Hover Tank just doesnt scream "cool" like a robot helicopter does.

Lets suppose the creators of Southern Cross had decided in the planning stage to assign the Auroran to the ATAC and the HT to the TASC. Logistics of various
episodes aside, (such as fighting in close quarters on Zor ships or the military rolls characters play) would a different (and arguably cooler) flagship mecha
have propelled the series into a better timeslot or made it a more memorable portion of Robotech?

While I have never really been a fan of wikis, sometimes the subject matter can lend itself to one.

I was interested in seeing the Macross Compendium go Wiki, as it would speed up the filling in of areas Egan didn't have the time for.

But, What the ****?

Does anyone else see that having a Wiki about a bunch of TV SERIES (and OAVs & Movies), where one cannot use EPISODE DIALOGUE to cite as a source is so
beyond counter-intuitive and counter-productive to be downright insane?????

Currently, one can only cite WRITTEN sources for the Compendium, other than visual references (i.e. where the entry being discussed appears in footage).
EVERYTHING else is being reverted by Azrael and the rest.

I can see possibly dealing with issues arising from separate fansubs/legal subs, but my GOD, there should be enough Japanese speakers in the fans to
cross-check the data, especially if they went to a "moderated wiki" format where...

Well, the series is over - maybe something will actually resolve the relationships of the characters in the movie - provided the movie isn't a badly warped
retelling of the series ala the Macross Plus movie edition.

First of all, I wonder how many of Galaxy's people actually were in on the scheme - nearly all of the defensive forces of the Battle Galaxy were AI drones
(Ghosts), and the only manned squadron we see were cyborgs that Grace apparently could control at will. Did she and her accomplices deliberately sacrifice
their entire colony fleet as a diversion to their scheme, or did they destroy it because they wouldn't submit? Or, is it still out there, somewhere,
waiting to cause trouble?

It's an interesting statement made during the fight - The Protoculture knew of the Vajra, both admired and feared them, and drew inspiration from them for
their works. This finally explains the non-humanoid Protodevlin, their ability real-time communicate /...

"Fastest Delivery" about made me ill. It was the Frontier equivalent of "The Fleet of the Strongest Women", which itself was an episode so
campy that it didn't even get aired as part of Macross 7!

It was nice seeing some of the homages to original Macross - especially since the Zentraedi all seemed to be clones from the same genetic seeds as
Breetai's fleet (including an obvious Kravshera as a bad guy). But, it is pushing it that the young EW expert managed to not only get all that LAI
equipment that apparently even the NUNS doesn't know about from his family, but got to send Michel & Ranka (especially the latter) to the planet with
it. On top of that, Ranka's performance (even with her getting chewed out by Saotome for not wearing the protective gear) was blatantly using
Chiba/Lovelock-derived equipment to influence the Zentradi - after all, the fleet HAD been living...
